Fantastic stay! The hotel was super clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. The wifi is good too. I received more than with the price. The host was incredibly warm and helpful, always willing to assist with anything we needed, and even more. Highly recommended everyone pick here when you're in Tissa. By the way, the safari book from hotel really effordable, I see all the animals cause the driver is professional, hard working and have a hawkeyes.

Priyankara is simply the best host! He told us how to get to Tissa from Arugam Bay, picked us up at the bus station, and gave us a bird-watching tour with the most stunning sunset. The room was spacious, cool, and comfortable. He organized a Yala safari for us and made Tissa and Yala National Park an unforgettable experience. If you go to Tissa, you must stay here!

We liked the location next to the lake and the huge amount of wildlife we could enjoy watching while sitting on the balcony or in the beautifully kept garden. The host family are extremely welcoming and we felt well looked after with suggestions on things to do and help arranging tuktuks etc. The home cooking was perhaps the best we have had in Sri Lanka and generous in proportion (1 dish will easily serve 2+) and well priced. We enjoyed a local specialty, buffalo curd with treacle see photos), amongst other dishes. The location is a little out of the city but we liked that it was quiet, peaceful and offered the lake view, the room itself is basic but what you need - think of it as glamping and the rustic nature part of the wildlife aesthetic.

The place is beautifully located in a rice paddy. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hosts were kind, helpful and lovely (x10). We found the home cooked meals (breakfast and dinner) better than what the restaurants in town could offer. We booked our Yala safari through them and everything went smoothly. I can not speak highly enough of the place and the owners.
