Very clean and spacious room. Decoration is adorable and very artistic. Erika and Luca made everything by hand themselves! Very comfy bed, hamaca to relax in the airco room to escape hot holbox summer weather. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. They gave us tips and lend us towels to use for the playa. A lot of value for a correct price! (which is quite a challenge to find on expensive isla holbox)

Absolutely amazing hotel!!!! Staff are really friendly and kind, they gave me many tips to enjoy Holbox which is reliable, room and common space was clean and quiet, and the location was close to a beach and the ferry port. My favorite part was the rooftop, peaceful and very relaxing. I definitely come back to Holbox and this hotel!!! Thank you both of you :)

My stay was amazing! The hostel is very cozy and it’s just a few steps from the beach. It includes a delicious breakfast, the kitchen is fully equipped and they offer daily activities so you can enjoy and meet other travelers. Common areas like showers and toilets are spacious and always kept clean. The staff members are super friendly and always willing to help with whatever is needed, they make you feel at home from day one! I definitely recommend Mapache Hostel to have the best experience in Holbox!

    We loved the hosts. Erika and Luka were very friendly and kind! We really felt like we were at home. The place felt like we were right on the ocean. Everything was close by, the market, beach and city center. Even though it was close to everything, it was peaceful and quiet. We will definitely stay here again!

    Great hosts, very accommodating, helpful and proactive. The room was lovely with both air-con and a ceiling fan. I enjoyed the hammock in my room as well. Great location, close to everything but still quiet. The hosts are amazing, they went out of their way to help me get to the ferry after a big storm that cut off the electricity to the island and flooded the streets. This is a great spot, lovely room with all that I needed.

    Wonderful place in Holbox! Erika and Luca are very nice hosts. It is quiet, clean, and safe. My room had a hammock, AC, fan and a little fridge. Everything very helpful to handle the heat. And finally a place where I could hang some clothes outside to dry :) It is very close to the beach and just felt a bit far from the center at night for a solo traveler but actually it was safe to come back walking at night. You can also rent a bike in the city center.

    Perfect spot to stay for a few nights on Holbox. Erika was a great host and was super helpful. Room was clean and comfy. It's a short walk into the centre of town, but that means it was nice and quiet
