This is a relatively new hostel in Arequipa, located just 10 minutes from the Plaza de Armas in a pretty quiet spot. There is a nice roof terrace to hang out with other travellers or the pet birds and rabbit. My room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. Best of all was Fabiola, who runs the hostel, who is among the kindest and loveliest people I've met while travelling through Peru! (You can book tours through the hostel too)

Chamo's place was definitely our most favourite place on our whole trip. It felt like our home away from home. Mostly because the hosts (Chamo and Anita) were so lovely and kind. They helped us with organising transport and gave us lots of tips. We enjoyed our conversations together and practiced our Spanish. We even went together tot the market place to have a lovely lunch. The place has everything you need: clean and well-priced rooms, a proper kitchen, a nice and sociable communal space, hot showers, etc. Dear Anita and Chamo, thank you so much for the warm welcome! If you are ever in Belgium, let us know!

The owner Eddy was absolutely fantastic, and incredibly attentive to his guests. You can ask him specifically, or just talk loosely. The whole building is in colonial style and has big beautiful rooms with comfortable beds, plenty of hot water in the shower, strong wi-fi and Netflix. The rich breakfast is served in a beautiful room on the roof terrace with the most beautiful view of volcanoes. The staff are friendly and smiling and do their job well. The place is located in a safe neighborhood with a short walk to the center. Casa Arequipa gets our very best recommendations

Cozy little hotel in a perfect location (right next to the Santa Catalina Monastery, make sure to visit). I chose a room on the street side because it was brighter and the noise wasn’t too bad with the windows closed.
