Lilianna the Host is so welcoming, helpful & kind... ! I felt so comfortable after a long trip. My room was quiet, clean & comfortable. There is a full kitchen on the 2nd floor available to guests to cook, enjoy a coffee & tea, etc. The entire place is extremely clean & yes... charming. Excellent location in the heart of the city where most attractions are walkable. Many good restaurants close by. Great value for money.

The room in the main house on the 1st floor (I believe it’s depicted on the promo picture here on Booking) was perfect. The room was clean and matched the description. I stayed in Casa de Sao Bento for 2 different periods in two different rooms and I liked the room in the adjacent building much less.

Great location overall and especially if you travel by car as it was stress free drive into town and there was free underground parking just down the road at Estacionamento Convento São Francisco. Room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and cheerful. Overlooked street with views of old city but windows were great and kept out the noise. Bed and pillow comfortable, we slept well. 5 minute walk over the bridge to bottom of old city. Hosts very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend, would stay again.
