The place I originally booked was at Funas, but the host told me that facility was in repair. It was on the site by mistake. I agreed to change to another site at Ribeira Grande. It was okay with me since I drove a rental car, and did not care about spa in Funas. The place turned out to be quite comfortable, by the sea, safe and quiet rich residential area. The rooms and facilities are fantastic.

The nicest lady is the host, not very much english though. Great location in town across from the Terra Nostra. Free parking close by. Pool in the summer looked nice.

Beds were very comfortable. House very clean. Nice breezes and cool inside even when warm outside. We enjoyed meeting the other guests from all over the world. Very friendly. Yummy tomato's from Elisabeth's garden.

We did not realize we had booked a shared bathroom; however, it worked out well. It was clean and well attended to. It was only shared with one other guest room. Shared kitchen served us well and we had very nice time talking with other guests. The timing of the different guest meal prep worked out naturally well; however, if multiple guests were trying to cook at same time, that would be challenging. LOVELY pool at garden courtyard. Gorgeous setting. Bedroom was basic. Could use some shelf or cabinet space; however, it perfectly met our needs. A lot of outside area to enjoy and there as also an inside living room for relaxing.

We stayed there to surf and we also worked remotely from the guest house during the whole stay. It can't have been better! Extremely friendly staff, abundant breakfast and very clean. The room are specious and comfortable. It's the perfect location for surfing at less than 10 min walk from the waves. There is a big terrace to dry wetsuits and store boards. The internet is fast and stable and there were sevwral tables to work from. The staff was so kind to let us do that. They also stored our bags the last day while surfing. We will be back!

Great place in the center of Furnas with easy self check-in and check-out. Host was always very polite and available online. Close to everything. We would stay here again anytime!

The location was beautiful and our host was warm friendly and extremely kind. During our stay at Pedro’s do Mar the night before our stay at Quinta de Santana, our daughter became violently I’ll after having eaten at Pedros do Mar’s restaurant. Pedros do Mar was unwilling to let us check out late but our host at Quinta de Santana came to our rescue and allowed us to check in early. We cannot thank him enough for his kindness. This speaks to the personal touch offered by an independently run business vs a corporate run hotel. I also appreciated our hosts ability to speak multiple languages. When my Portuguese failed my I could revert to English or French.
