It was immaculately clean and exceptionally comfortable. Margarida is a superb host who provides everything to a very high standard from the delicious, extensive breakfasts to the quality bedding and toiletries. She also goes out of her way to help guests and we were most grateful to her for arranging restaurant bookings and putting us in contact with a local taxi driver , Antonio, who was most reliable.

This stone house is in a dream-like setting in the middle of a vineyard. A perfect weekend getaway to do some wine tasting. They make their own fabulous wines and also provided a welcome drink of their licor generoso (it was delicious!) A great base to explore nearby vineyards. Lovely host and was very communicative and helpful. If you're in the Douro, you must stay here if you want a truly authentic experience!

The location was great, not too far from where we wanted to go and the center of town, nice view of the vineyards first thing in the morning, not too mention the owner who was a excellent person very friendly and always happy and friendly, always had a story to tell, I would definitely recommend this place to people who are interested in visiting Peso da Régua and staying not too far from all the attractions…. Very affordable, clean and friendly!!!!there was no breakfast on the premises but that was not a problem they are plenty of little cafés around…. Thank you senhor Carlos for keeping us laughing every time we talked to you, keep on being the amazing person that you are. We will definitely be seeing you again in the near future .
