What a sweet little cabin! We only stayed there one night but wished we could have stayed longer. It was in a great location near the Miradouro Escalvado for the most beautiful sunset. The cabin was clean and well cared for. We especially loved the warm dip in the hot tub in the evening. The communication with the owner was excellent.

Lots of space in the room and very clean. Loved the guide book instructions for relevant things in the area and tips. I elected to get breakfast delivered to my door. It was very good and delivered in a cute basket. Wifi worked perfect! Enjoyed the cows passing by the hotel in the morning too.

This was probably one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever visited. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. The interior is amazing, and the windows offer amazing views. The hotel staff is very kind and will always help with any questions. Huge recommendations!

Fairly new exceptionally clean apartment style villa. The owner was more than helpful answering questions and providing for our needs such as an early breakfast and information on restaurants. The room had adequate kitchen equipment to allow you to make easy meals. A large grocery store is a short distance away. The kitchen had a few basic herbs and spices that you could use. It was very quiet with a secure locked entrance after 5:00 that each guest had a remote to be able to enter.

Quinta das Hortências is located in São Vicente, 6.2 mi from Ponta Delgada. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property and free private parking is available on site.

Breakfast was quite delicious and very complete: eggs, bread, multiple kinds of cereal, fresh fruit, different types of yogurt, cake, various spreads (butter, cream cheese, nutella), homemade jams (delicious!), cheese coffee, tea, orange juice, and several types of milk (normal, lactose free and non-dairy!). The fact that there was a shared kitchen available made it all the better! Our room was spacious, with heating and a mini fridge being both available. We had a small but very pleasant balcony with a nice view and some chairs to enjoy it. Location was perfect! In a quarter of an hour you can be in Ponta Delgada and still enjoy the view and calm ambience S. Vicente de Ferreira has to offer! The staff was super helpful and kind! They even lent us an umbrella because it was raining and offered to serve breakfast much earlier because we had an early morning flight! Overall, the homely and intimate environment of the Quinta was our favorite! We almost felt like we had the whole Quinta to ourselves. Our only regret is not having stayed longer to enjoy a nice grill outside or a day by the pool. Highly recommend!

Great location, very clean and modern. Having breakfast included was a nice surprise. What made this place a 10/10 is the staff, they pretty much made our trip to Sao Miguel by giving us daily itineraries on what to see and where to go!
