The property has been renovated quite recently, so the standard is very pleasant. In the room there's also a fridge. The location is well communicated - the train station is basically the other side of the street, the bus station is very close too (many local lines for those who want to go hiking in Slovak Paradise), as well as restaurants and shops. Really nice owners :). Everything was in order, you have use of a common kitchen which is well-equipped. Rooms were clean and had everything needed.

Breakfast was excellent, the staff spoke english and was very helpful with planning hiking trips in the national park. The tickets to the national park is included in the tourist tax. They also offer dinner at the penzion which was a treat at the end of the day.

Hrabusice is the best base for a visit to Slovensky Raj and exploring the Spis region. Some hiking trails (Hornad canyon, Sucha Bela) are walking distance from the village, for the rest you would need a car as public transport is limited outside summer holidays. Due to some mix up with the booking Peter (the host) arranged for us to stay in an apartment in another part of the village. It was an upgrade as we had a whole very comfy apartment with kitchen to ourselves. Communication with Peter was fast and reliable and the proposed solution more than satisfactory! Tip for visitors: since April 2024 local tourist tax (2 euros per person per night) allows free entry to paid sites in Slovensky Raj and includes insurance for mountain rescue costs.

Relax Mariánka is set in a quiet location of Betlanovce, just a 15-minute walk from the Slovak Paradise National Park, and features en-suite rooms, free WiFi and a terrace.

Peaceful accommodation in a homely environment. The owners were very pleasant and accommodating. The accommodation is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main start of the hiking trails. The accommodation was clean and quiet.

I liked the raw minimalist decor of the room, you could feel that the building had several hundred years of history, the furniture made of thick wood and the white walls and bedding gave the impression that I was sleeping in some medieval castle. Very clean. From the window there was a view of the panorama of the Tatras, hills and the town of Wierzbów (Vrbov).
