Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.

A quirky little place with unique charm. Every wall and floor tile must have a story that I would like to know. Not boutique , but if you wanna know how early days of Thailand travel were this is the place. The best location for being in the center of town that is both peaceful and at a modest cost. I will stay again.

The bed was very comfortable, and since it is a ways out of town and right on the river, it was nice and quiet. Nice garden to sit in provided you don't go during this season, when it is way too hot to do anything outdoors. The owners/staff were friendly and accommodating. Good value for money though I've stayed at much nicer places in the country for the same price. If you're just looking for a place to rest your head near Kamphaeng Phet on your way up- or down-country, it's fine. There's parking and WiFi.

What a sweet find on the Ping River in Kampaenphet! We arrived after 8pm, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and responsive. The guesthouse itself is a charming, gabled two-story house in a lush, well-tended garden right on the river. Our air-con room was clean and cozy and opening onto a wrap-around terrace overlooking the river. The fridge was much appreciated. I slept deeply and enjoyed waking up to a fresh rainy morning.
