For several reasons, we had to postpone our stay at Mango Beach House, in Jambiani, three times in the past. Finally, 2025 was the year for something long awaited. The expectations were high, but the reality surpassed them. A dream spot, right on the beach. The facilities, the outdoor and sea temperature , the sound of the crows, the breeze and the waves, the laughter of the children at night playing football on the beach, the food (delicious breakfast and wonderful meals), the friendliness and availability of the hosts made us wish that it could be our 'forever home'. And the truth is that during our stay we felt that it was also our home, thanks to the warm welcome from Beth, Dhula, our extraordinary chef Hemé (don't know how to spell it) and all the rest of the staff. There was also the opportunity to do some additional activities suggested and organized by Beth, namely a boat trip in typical Dhow, through the beautiful waters of Jambiani, as well as an unforgettable Mangrove tour, which ended at sunset, in a vibrant atmosphere in a bar in Michamvi. Absolutely amazing place! Top location, in the heart of Paje, 5 min from the beach and restaurants! Very quiet, cozy, high quality ! Very clean, very big room and bathroom ! Beautiful garden , kind of jungle. You even can have espresso coffee, wich is rare in Paje! Highly recommended!

Carol is such a kind and caring host and a seasoned traveller that doesn't want to charge an extortionate amount for people to stay. I was so impressed with this house. Nothing short of exceptional. The fact that we stayed for 2 extra nights says a lot. Rooms were big and clean and the hosts made us feel at home. After previous, more expensive accomodation, we were pleasently surprised as it is very budget friendly but also has everything we need. It is like in pictures plus very close to the beach. The owner was taking us to amazing places around. We would definitely come back.

Since I read the book who the owner Dorota wrote, I really wanted to visit Vanilla House. And it was as I imagined, even better!!! The sound of the ocean at night...The breeze.. The food... The view... I loved it!!!!

Set in Jambiani, in the middle of a local village , Zanzistar Lodge boasts a sun terrace with outdoor pool and is located just a short stroll away from the beach.
