wonderful lodge nested in a wild and beautiful nature estate. we really wished we booked a few nights more! the hosts are great, super helpful and make a delicious breakfast. we were lucky enough to see giraffes and more wildlife on our morning walk, it was absolutely surreal.

This house is lovely! It has everything you need and is in the center of Hoedspruit within the Wildlife Estate. You are very close to everything, to easily access the shops and restaurants. Being located in the wildlife estate is great as you have access to the green belt to go for walks or even little game drives where you can see lots of different general wildlife including giraffes and zebras. There are also a few waterholes dotted around and are awesome to watch the sunset from. The house has fiber internet as well which is great if you're here for a working holiday and need fast internet! The patio outside was my favourite place to relax, and there were occasionally animals that came by. I saw monkeys playing around in the garden, warthogs, and even a kudu in the evening! Lots of birdlife too!

umVangati House is one of those places you won’t forget. we stayed there for one night and everything was perfect. the hospitality level is exceptional, the dinner and breakfast was excellent, our suite was bug-free and very clean. We enjoyed walking the wooden deck with our binoculars and spot wild Kudu and many birds. I would recommend stay for more than one night, this place is well worth it.

Our stay at this property could not have been any better. The accommodations were fantastic. The beds very comfortable, the food was delicious. The location was incredible - but most of all - the staff made our stay exceptional! Our host Cynthia the first day was a delight. She was very welcoming and kind. The next day, we were greeted by Bonny who was equally delightful. Bonny helped us arrange some day-trips at some locations nearby such as a river tour and a tour of a wildlife rehabilitation facility. She was so helpful. Bonny and Cynthia were the best. In addition to these ladies, all of the staff there was so kind and considerate of our needs. All of my travel companions were very happy. If I could give 100 stars I would.

Clean (and cleaned daily), quiet, with great hot water, wifi, pool, and communication. Super safe area, a 35 min walk to the village or 5 min drive. Would gladly stay again.
