We stayed at Lola’s guesthouse for two nights, and it was by far the best place we stayed during our entire 4-week trip through the Balkans. Lola is an incredibly kind and welcoming host who speaks excellent English. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel at home, offering helpful advice about hiking routes in the area. The guesthouse itself is full of authentic charm. It’s a peaceful and naturally shaded place, which meant we had the best sleep of our trip — cool nights, fresh air, and complete silence. A true mountain escape. The food was hands down the best we had on our whole trip. Everything was homemade, and most of it came straight from Lola’s garden. We got real milk, fresh butter and cheese, and super tasty eggs. The portions were big too – we were always full and happy after every meal. Just proper, homemade food made with love. Lola even went above and beyond by helping us book accommodation in Dobërdoll, which was fully booked online. Thanks to her local connections, she managed to find us a place — something we couldn’t have done without her help. We couldn’t recommend Lola’s guesthouse more. If you’re looking for genuine hospitality, restful nights, unforgettable meals, and a perfect base for hiking adventures — this is the place!

A lovely family, great location - you step out the back door directly onto the Rosni peak trail. Food was great and not crazily overpriced like most guesthouses. While we were there the family’s niece was also there to visit who we enjoyed some nice and interesting conversations with. Would absolutely recommend!

Location is on the hiking trail. Quiet, private property. Very clean.It looks like a cabin with each unit having its only entrance. My 13-year-old son and I were there with another mom and her son. We each had our own unit. There are 2 units next to each other. Each room has a private bathroom. It was fun finding the guesthouse. A car can pick you up, but since you are on the hiking trail you follow red markers on rocks and trees. Breakfast was wonderful. We ate outside. Marita the host was incredible. She greeted us on the trail and walked with us to her guest house. She asked if there was anything we needed. She was flexible with the breakfast time. She offered coffee at any time.

The bed was so comfortable and the room was nice and cool because the building is made of stone. Very close to the Valbona to Theth hike trailhead! It was so peaceful and quiet and definitely a perfect place to rest up before our big hike day. Thank you!
