Staff was very nice and friendly. There also was a private beach which was a nice surprise. The view from the window is amazing and you can reach town centre, grocery store, restaurants by foot.

Located next to a city bus stop and a 5-minute drive to the centre of Gmunden, Gasthof Engelhof features an à-la-carte restaurant serving regional and international cuisine, as well as a house bar and... Everything was great! Great staff as well as the hotel itself. Convenient location, close to the city tram station! Also, there is a 10 km hiking trail to Lake Laudach. From the train station it is an hour's train ride to the magical city of Hallstatt. Overall, I recommend trying to come back again!

Even the obviously old items were clean and bright. We really enjoyed that. Our room overlooked the river and mountains, and it was truly breathtaking. The room was cleaned and the towels changed on our second day. The breakfast, included in the price, was very good. The omelets were especially delicious. The staff were very friendly and helped us with anything that would make our trip easier. If you're traveling by car, the property has parking. The location is a reasonable distance from Hallstatt. If you're looking for a place to stay in this area, I definitely recommend this place.
