Conveniently situated 1.5 km from the Hausberg ski lift in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Hotel Alpengruss features a terrace, and free WiFi. Hiking and cycling trails are easily accessible. Very clean, comfortable, and cozy. Front desk reception and breakfast buffet waitress were very friendly and welcoming. Easy check in and check out with parking on property. The room was spotless and quiet at night. Breakfast was fresh, nicely laid out buffet and had everything we wanted for breakfast. We highly recommend staying here.

The Hotel Föhrenhof is situated in a peaceful area on the edge of a forest in Farchant, just 3 km from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Amazing and very helpful staff, beautiful location, rooms are cleaned daily. Very close to all transportation links. You get a guest card as well which gives you discounts and some free public transport which was amazing! I would definitely go back to this place again if I ever visit Garmisch again.

Thanks to the hotel, Simon, and the beautiful area. Me (27M) and my girlfriend(23F) could not have found a better place. We were well prepared (or so we thought) and knew exactly what to do, where and when, until we met Simon. He was super friendly and helped us refine our activities with secret local spots and choosing the right day for each activity. For my girlfriend and me this was perfect. (Even if you are not so well prepared Simon will point you towards all the gems exactly tailored to your wishes.) The appartment itself is super clean and recently renovated (while keeping the rustic alpine style). We loved the cozy wooden interior and the bed was very comfortable (including the pillows!!). I almost forgot the great view, see the photo. The location directly at the Fernpass road B179, was ideal for us. We had many things planned such as Zugspitze, Neuschwannstein, Drachensee, Partnachklamm, Breitachklamm and canyoning, which were all within 1h driving (many even much less). This was ideal for us and made a super action packed, beautiful vacation possible for us. Last but not least Simon made a custom mountainbike loop exactly to my wishes, which was one of the coolest (and hardest, cardio wise) experiences I have had in a while, completely for free. He has an amazing collection of bikes which you can borrow for free. With that I would like to conclude that I can only very much recommend staying here. Best wishes, R & E
