The hosts went into the trouble of putting up a very good guide with local knowledge for activities, food and shops. They had a number of nice details to us. Sara and Klaas made us feel at home instantly. The bathroom is like those in magazines. Spotless clean, warm calming colours and well lit. The bedroom was cozy and super comfortable. I had a room in the hotel's recently upgraded Guesthouse. Breakfasts were in their popup restaurant whilst the main hotel and restaurant is being upgraded. The food was excellent, and the room (No 8) was excellent too. All of the hotel's facilities are either in, or just off, the main square, making access to Talbot House, the Hop Museum, etc, all within very easy walking distance. The Hotel de la Paix is a family run business, and the owner and staff are all friendly and helpful. My group has stayed with them many times in the past, and hopefully will continue to do so in the future.
