I'm not a dog lover but was attracted by the price, location and great reviews. Incredible place. Very clean for starters - no dog hairs, e.g., on the inside, which I had been a bit worried about. And to my surprise I really loved THESE dogs - magnificent, strong animals but also well-behaved and gentle. They're obviously well-trained and well-treated. I almost didn't go on the morning walk, and that would have been a big mistake - it turned out (like for many people!) to be a highlight of my trip. I'd love to go back in the winter for the sledding. Also, as all reviewers rightly note, the owners are very friendly.

Located on the shores of Lake Saint-Jean, this hotel in St-Gédéon, Quebec features kayak rentals, an on-site spa and seasonal restaurant. Simple guest rooms include cable TV. The staff is very friendly. The facilities were all clean. My child had a really great time at the play room they have. We also enjoyed the swimming pool and spa. It also worth mentioning the restaurant. They served really delicious high-end dishes. The whole stay was just amazing. Great views of the lake. We will definitely come back here next time!
