What a wonderful surprise to have discovered B&B Stirnimann for our two night stay while touring Switzerland. The area is peaceful and lovely and the stay was everything we could ever want and more. Our hosts offered us a warm welcome and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. The accommodations were not just clean but absolutely spotless and our room was cozy, spacious and very comfortable. We were allowed to use the full kitchen and living room and porch in addition to our room and that was such a treat for us on our long trip. The best part you ask? The best part was Hedi our host who we instantly adored. She is a gracious, funny, kind and friendly force of nature who made sure we were comfortable, offered touring and local information and provided us with a full delicious breakfast. There are some people and places that enhance a trip in special ways that you know you will never forget. Staying at B&B Stirnimann and meeting Hedi will hold a special place in our memory and we hope to return someday.

Martina was an excellent host! The breakfast was incredible, checkin was smooth and we had no issues with sharing a bathroom. There is a beautiful backyard to eat in. We came from a really long cycle ride and Martina went out of her way to pick up our pizza order as the restaurant across the road was on vacation. Perfectly matches the description

Casa Esperanza is located a 5-minute tram ride from the centre of Basel and offers free WiFi and a shared terrace with seating area. The rooms all come with a flat-screen TV. This is one of the best guesthouses I've seen so far. The room that we got had plenty of space, including a kitchen that was the best equipped as possible! We had only one night stay, but that kitchen had every kitchenette that you could possibly think of, including a dishwasher! The hosts are providing you with a few types of coffees and teas, complimentary. Very comfortable beds as well. Fully equipped shared bathroom, but that won't be a bother at all since you're sharing it with only one other room. It's also so easy to get around. There's a direct tram line from the Basel SBB station, or direct bus from the airport. You'll have like 2 minutes walk to get to your room. Also, the hosts are providing you with free Basel pass, so all of the rides around, museum entries, and even the zoo visit will be covered. Hosts couldn't be more kind and welcoming! Whenever I'll get back to this city, this will be my accommodation for sure.

Breakfast was amazing. Coffee was made for us and brought to our table. Was a very nice gesture. The rest we grabbed a bit of everything, the bread was still warm and crispy. The croissants also were divine. The hotel has a unique charm. The check-in was the best I've ever had. Very flexible. We arrived a bit late and our room key was placed in a letterbox outside of the hotel, with a pin code that was sent to us previously.

The owner actually waited for us, even though this was a self checking guest house. He brought our suitcase upstairs and fetched some more bottles of water. So nice and thoughtful!

The property and owners make it extremely simple for us to check-in, have a kitchen available at all times, ask questions but also have privacy. The beds are super comfortable and there’s all the amenities you could need.
