Martina was an excellent host! The breakfast was incredible, checkin was smooth and we had no issues with sharing a bathroom. There is a beautiful backyard to eat in. We came from a really long cycle ride and Martina went out of her way to pick up our pizza order as the restaurant across the road was on vacation. Perfectly matches the description

Casa Esperanza is located a 5-minute tram ride from the centre of Basel and offers free WiFi and a shared terrace with seating area. The rooms all come with a flat-screen TV. We stayed in the two-bedroom apartment for a week as we prepared to leave Switzerland after 17 years. It was a bitter-sweet time for us, but we were immediately at ease when we checked in. The apartment was spacious, clean and fully stocked. Everything one could think of was at our disposal. Kai is a thoughtful host and if we needed anything we just needed to message him and he was ready to help. The location is fantastic with two tram lines just a 5 minute walk from the apartment. Supermarkets and restaurants are all around. For an expensive city like Basel this guesthouse is a real find.

The property is in a great location, easy access to old town. We were on top floor in room described as family room. The room actually has 2 rooms within it, so one massive bedroom/ living room area with fridge and coffee maker, and the second being a separate single room. Beautiful bathroom as well. Very peaceful, exceptionally clean, spacious and lovely decor.
