There was a farmers' market on the square the first morning there and we stocked up on some supplies. Easy location to train station. Entry is tucked behind the bar which took us a minute to figure out. Beds were very comfortable. Back patio looking onto Thun Castle was a bonus! Thun is not touristy and that was a true delight!

Situated just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Interlaken, Adventure Guesthouse Interlaken offers colourfully decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen cable TV. Everything. It is a really lovely guesthouse, right next to Interlaken West train station. The room was lovely and comfortable - the balcony and view was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful - I was able to check in much earlier than expected. Breakfast was great and it's clearly an environmentally conscious place. I really liked that there was a kettle and tea/coffee/water on the landings for everyone to share.

Located in Sigriswil, Hotel Adler is 3.5 km away from Lake Thun. Its restaurant offers a terrace with a view of the Swiss Alps. Rooms have a balcony and free Wi-Fi. This hotel is spotless! The decor is a little dated, but it is very clean, and not shabby. The breakfast was adequate, no complaints. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was great, just what we wanted. The only down side was no air conditioning. It was warm, but we just slept with a window open, so not an issue. Hotel location is lovely with stunning views. Plenty of parking too.
