The breakfast is fresh on the spot and very generous. They even gave us muffins to go as a snack on our train ride. The view is peaceful and breathtaking all at once. What gem.

Hotel Garni Villa del Sole is located in Ponte Tresa, a 20-minute walk from Lake Lugano. It offers accommodation with kitchenettes and terraces, overlooking Monte di Varese and Malcantone. Everything was amazing. Our hosts were very friendly and kind. Beautiful and clean room with a great terrace. Homemade confiture that was served with breakfast from fruit grown on the property was the best I’ve ever had.

The room was good enough, if you know what you are booking you will be fine. You have a shower in the room and a shared toilet. The owners are good people and we thank them for our stay there. The shared kitchen was something we did not expect and was a nice surprise. Views are PERFECT. I mean breathtaking.

Located directly at Lake Lugano in the centre of Morcote village, Albergo Ristorante della Posta features a lakeside restaurant and a private lake access. Free Wi-Fi is available. It is directly on the lake and everything was lovely including all the staff !
