Great place in the mountains for hiking and resting near the lakes. Very friendly staff, so helpful and supportive. Amazing cuisine - we did enjoy the food there (all three meals). Views are stunning. The village is quite small, doesn't have a lot of events. Comfy beds, clean shared bathrooms, clean towels. Places to sit and spend time near hotel.

Offering a restaurant, Landgasthof Schlüssel Alpnach is located in Alpnach, at the foot of Pilatus Mountain. Free WiFi access is available. Kind and nice staff. You can check in through the key box. Tasty breakfast. Comfortable bed, pillow, blanket soft as a cloud. There is a jug of water in the room, and as a bonus, candy with the Swiss flag.

Located right on the shore of the scenic Eugenisee Lake, Pension St. Jakob is 800 metres from the centre of Engelberg and a 5-minute walk from the Engelberg Cable Car. Grey spot got moved to Espen! Was lovely! Ppl were very nice!!

Located opposite the train station in the peaceful town of Giswil, Hotel Bahnhof is just a 20-minute walk from Lake Sarnen. It features a restaurant and a large garden. This hotel seems to be the hub of Giswil. The restaurant was busy both nights. There's a children's playground, & the cutest chickens running around .
