Casa Azul is located in the centre of Puerto Varas, only 7 minutes away from the main square, supermarkets, the beach and the Casino. Best kitchen I have been to regarding hostels! The proprietor Luca was very helpful and pleasant on interaction. Nice and clean!

Set in Puerto Varas, Los Lagos region, Hostel Casa Apel is situated a 19-minute walk from El Paseo Pier. Among the various facilities of this property are a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge. I love the people here, from the staff/volunteers to the guests. I love the cleanliness I love the bed, oh that's the comfiest hostel bunk bed I have ever slept and I am now not being extra LMAO I love the bathroom, it's so SPACIOUS I love the environment even they have a park in the back! This is a special message for the volunteers, there are two: that one Argentine man (I am really bad at remembering name) and a spanish girl named Alba, you guys are very kind... the Argentine is very bubbly and he let me stay for some hours extension for free only for waiting for my bus. And Alba, she is a sweet Catalunya girl. We had a lot of things to chit-chat and she loves to paint. If you stay here and see the paintings of two mountains in a section behind the reservation, that's what she did. To these two people, if you read this, I wanna say, it would be a pleasure to meet you and thank you for giving me a memorable ending for my Chile trip even tho it's only one-night moment. I know both of you will move to other places, so I always wish you all the good fortunes for the upcoming journey! See you sooner or later Con cariño, @anselsuherman

The well-constructed, well insulated room was very comfortable, unlike some on the Carretera Austral. The hosts were kind enough to wait for me to check in late, when the ferry was delayed for 5 hours. The breakfast was exceptional.

From the warm welcome when we arrived until the minute we left, our stay here was wonderful. Andrea and Esteban are amazing hosts and everything here is imbued with so much love and care. Breakfast was really nice as well. There is a beautiful garden by the water where you can enjoy the sunset. We wished we could have stayed longer!
