As a solo backpacker, I was unsure whether to spend money on this place but it's SO worth it. There's a larger dorm room that fits 4 people and two smaller single dorm rooms for 1 person each - they all have great views. It was quiet when I was there so I was given a single room in the dorm block and it was beautiful! (Note, there's no windows so you're open to hearing all the jungle noises, it's great). I ended up extending my stay as I didn't want to leave. The showers / toilets are basic in an outdoors block below the dorm cabin. The water wasn't hot but it was warm, pleasant to shower in in the Amazon heat. There's also hammocks to chill in under there, in the dorm balcony, and over in the main entrance / dining block. For food - you're out of town but the accommodation can provide all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner). I did this each day and it was all delicious and very reasonably priced. i.e. breakfast is 15k and I think dinner is 22k. I found this place better than my experience deeper in the Amazon. There's so much wildlife here and the staff are really enthusiastic about showing you and sharing their knowledge. You can spot monkeys on the estate and on the road outside and so many birds. You can also go on a night time walk to spot frogs with a nearby hostel that they arrange for 50k including your evening meal - super worth it! The guide was so knowledgeable and it was great fun. Not to mention the rainforest hike to their waterfall - it's not huge or insanely powerful but it's one of my favourites I've come across in ten months travelling South America. It has a double drop and it's like a little oasis heaven. You can even jump from the top. I spent hours swimming and just sitting there in peace. They also have a natural pool by the accommodation which was really nice to swim in - even during the rain! Again, can't fault this place. Everyone was so welcoming.

The owner and his family were so so nice. You really feel like you’re at home. The location is quiet and peaceful and the owner was kind enough to pick me up and drop me off for my buses.

I loved my stay in Huaka Huaka hostel so so much. I would return there in a heartbeat. Janet and Victoria are so kind, funny and laid-back that it doesn't feel like you are staying in a hostel - it feels like you are staying with friends. The location is incredible, so quiet, so peaceful, so green, so full with life. The spaces are so in tune with the natural environment, everything is made with natural materials. Words can't describe the experience, you just have to go there and see for yourselves!

That was the most beautiful room I ever slept in. Literally open on the nature. You have the sound of the river at night and birds in the morning, some Tucan in the tree.... That was incredible ! And the bed was sooo confy I didn't want to wake up in the morning 😂 Beside the room, the kitchen is clean and well equiped. I've met lots of nice people there and Suli is top host ! You have a small Tienda nearby if you wanna buy food. You can walk to Cascada d'el fin d'el mundo and Dantayako ! Bus 4 is passing in front of the hostel if you wanna come by bus from Mocoa.
