1.1 km from Saint's Peter Cathedral, Magic Garden House is set in Cali and has a garden and free WiFi. Offering a terrace, the property is located within 1.3 km of Jorge Isaacs Theater. We were recommended this place to stay by a good friend who has stayed there a few times. He was raving about it. We spent 3 nights there in March 2025 and he was spot on. It is very special. When you turn up there is no sign on the door and when it opens, you walk into an amazing oasis in the middle of Cali. It is in a safe location opposite the park and a very short walk to the hub of the historic area of San Antonia. We were greeted by the lovely Lizceth, who had also been communicating brilliantly before our arrival. The wonderful charming owner Jaimie, gave us some spot-on local recommendations on where to go for drinks or dinner. She really made us feel welcome. The rooms are immaculate and have windows looking out onto a courtyard on the ground floor and onto a bright open-air area on the first floor. There is a terrace with the most spectacular views out across the city and the breakfast room is there too …..so what a place to sit! There is a kitchen area with a fridge stocked with drinks and an honesty book for you to write in when you have something. That sums up the place… It did not feel at all like a guest house, it was more like being welcomed into a family. The other guests were also lovely and generous with travel tips. I suspect this is because of the sort of people the Magic Garden House attracts. This was the best place we stayed during our three-week, tour of Colombia. David and Caroline

The accommodations were very good offering cleanliness, comfort, and a touch of personality in the room. The garden was very beautiful, full of plants and providing perfect settings for relaxation and socializing. Overall, I highly recommend the stay at Casa Ruta Sur.
