Our stay at the Amazilia Guesthouse came close to perfection. The staff was friendly, the accomodation perfectly clean, with a working A/C and ample space to put your things. But it was the little things which really stood out in comparison to other accomodations in Costa Rica: the good toilet paper, as opposed to the one where you can see through. A hot shower with sufficient water pressure. A non-leaking shower cabin. Good light and a good mirror in the bathroom. A well-working and clean dustbin, where you don´t have to worry about your personal safety when putting the used toilet paper in. We even got a packed breakfast as we had to leave early on our last day. The location requires a car and is quite remote, but perfect if you plan accordingly and want to visit the (equally remote) Rincon de la Vieja National Park. All in all, highly recommended!

Diana is a wonderful host and an excellent person, she is from Italy and has traveled the world. Her breakfast made fresh every morning is a delight, complete with rice + beans, air-fried plantains, sausage, egg, cheese, coffee, and a wide selection of pastries and mini pizzas.

Casa Mapache se află în Tamarindo și are o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, un lounge comun și o terasă. Această pensiune are WiFi gratuit și parcare privată gratuită. I had a wonderful stay at Casa Mapache. The grounds are beautiful with lots of greenery. The patio area and pool were amazing. The room was very clean and the bed and linens were amazingly comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I recommend staying here. 10/10

Little Hawaii Avellanas se află în Playa Avellana, la câțiva pași de Plaja Avellanas, și pune la dispoziție o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. We loved it here. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to the beach. We spent a few days here at the end of our holiday - relaxing and perfect for what we needed after quite a busy, strenuous time in Costa Rica. Playa de Avellanas has a lovely, laid back feel to it - not touristy (yet). Jose was excellent to communicate by with whenever I had any questions and very helpful when I enquired about transport contacts.

Suite Paraiso Azul se găsește în Tamarindo, la 19 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja Tamarindo, și oferă o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. Beautiful oasis by the pool. Hosts were excellent and went above and beyond when we ran into some medical issues.

Casa Rosada Nosara se află în Nosara, la 8 minute de mers pe jos de Plaja Guiones, și pune la dispoziție o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, un lounge comun și parcare privată gratuită. Location is excellent. Very short walk to the beach and surf. Clean room. It had everything you need. Comfortable beds, strong AC, kitchen with everything you need to cook. Property felt safe and secured. Pool was also nice for a dip to cool off with outside shower. And to top it all off, Henri is a wonderfully gracious kind accommodating host. And also extremely funny! If you want awesome vibes and be close to beach with all the amenities definitely stay here.

Hostel Casa Mar se află în Liberia, la 38 km de Parque Nacional Santa Rosa, și pune la dispoziție o grădină, o terasă și parcare privată. Super friendly staff. They watched over my luggage for a few days so I gave a small tip in appreciation.

Hospedaje Angela se găsește în Nicoya, la 16 km de Parcul Național Barra Honda, și are o grădină și parcare privată gratuită. Fiecare cameră oferă un patio. The host is very helpful. Clean rooms (we have stayed in 2 of them). Nice kitchen and dining room.

Guesthouse Congo Tempisque se află în Liberia, la doar 20 km de Stadionul Edgardo Baltodano, și oferă acces la o grădină și un lounge comun, precum și o bucătărie comună. The owner was very hospitable and went out of his way to make us comfortable.
