We stayed at Smile Jungle Hostel for 3 nights and it was great! A very warm and personal welcome, everything was explained very well. The host Gonzalo and his mother are doing a great job, you would not think they only have started 1 month ago! The hostel is very cosy. Good showers and kitchen. If we needed anything, we could just ask or send a WhatsApp. The breakfast is the best we had so far in de past month. You can see and hear a lot of animals around the hostel. Thank you so much for the great stay! Would recommand it to everyone!

The accommodation is in a very quiet and pleasant area, but still close to everything. It’s easy to reach, and the ocean is just a short walk away. The room was very clean and well-equipped with everything I needed. The host was extremely kind and helpful throughout my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay in Daneysha and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well maintained, family friendly and hospitable guesthouse when visiting Tortuguero. Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. Wonderful property and owners. A garden oasis. Steps from the beach and a quiet road. 10 min walk to a number of restaurants and good grocery store. We had a cabin and it was wonderful and fully equipped. Great pool, quiet garden, lots of animals. Marise very responsive and offered helpful advice. We’re returning!

This is a lovely place with a private deck on the ocean. It is coral, so not a beach for swimming - but Playa Negra is a beautiful black sand beach a mere 10 minute walk away - excellent for swimming. We had the air conditioned rooms with floor to ceiling windows looking out at the jungle and ocean as well as a lovely swimming pool. The back courtyard not only a few steps from the ocean, but also full of hammocks and wildlife, daily visits from howler monkeys and tons of birds. A beautiful place to relax. The breakfast was delightful, the staff friendly and helpful. Very clean and very close to everything in town. Many delicious restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The national park, hiking and snorkeling all within a few minutes walk. We LOVED this place and can't wait to go back.

This property is gorgeous and the staff is excellent and accommodating. The bungalow was well supplied, and just a perfect place to enjoy nature and to chill out. We kayaked to the ocean and watched sloths in the trees. I would highly recommend this property.

The location was perfect, the host was so helpful and friendly. The room was perfect, the grounds are pretty. A special bonus- a yoga mat for guests to use! The common room gave us an opportunity to meet interesting international travelers.
