Great and authentic place to stay if you want to get away from the busy Tortugero village. Gloria and Sergio do everything possible to enable you a relaxing stay and wonderful memories. The rooms are super clean and fine, hammocks are great to relax and the breakfast is very hearty and cooked freshly. You can walk up Cerro Tortugero by yourself within 30 minutes with great views. A restaurant and a market are next door. We did the morning tour through the canals with Sergio, which was amazing! He provided great infos, we saw a lot! In addition he was driving and picking us up to and from the village Tortugero in the afternoon, which was super convenient. Thank you so much!

I was impressed with the spotless absolutely clean room. Immaculate! I enjoyed a comfortable sleep and was treated so kindly by the owners, that I will not forget them. I definitely recommend Cabinas Hukats Secret Jungle. What a local gem!!!

The breakfast was amazing. The location is perfect if you want to break the trip between San Josè and the Caribbean Coast. Anita was super kind and helpful, and our toddler girl loved all the attention, peluche animals and the giant sloth she could have breakfast with. Thanks, Anita!!

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. Wonderful property and owners. A garden oasis. Steps from the beach and a quiet road. 10 min walk to a number of restaurants and good grocery store. We had a cabin and it was wonderful and fully equipped. Great pool, quiet garden, lots of animals. Marise very responsive and offered helpful advice. We’re returning!

This accommodation was right on the water. At breakfast you can enjoy a myriad of bird species while enjoying your meal. it is a quiet property with howler monkeys and sloths. The restaurant attached serves a great selection of wines and delicious foods. Great value for your money! We very much enjoyed our stay here 😁
