The breakfast was good, especially the juice , even if it was the same every single day.

A Guichuan couple own the lodge so we were able to enjoy traditional food for supper & learn more about the culture. The lodge is ideally located for hiking the lake trail. The building is new, designed to take full advantage of the magnificent views which span the volcano behind the lake all the way to the lights of Quito, in the far distance. The bed has lots of pillows & the most comfortable bed linen I’ve experienced. You sleep & wake to a full wall picture window of the panorama. The spacious bedroom also has a comfortable couch & wardrobe. The washroom is also large & there’s plenty of hot water. The common area has a wall of windows looking out on the panoramic view as well as a fireplace (which was wonderful coming in after a November hike) & a selection of great interpretative books. Our hosts speak good English & were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was huge with all local products - coffee, tea, bread, cheese, juice, fruits, homemade marmalade, eggs. Wifi was also good. It doesn’t get any better!

They prepared us dinner one night which was great! The house is super cute and clean, love the view to the lake. The town is safe to walk I'm at night. Make sure to go to Bambu Grill. Great place to eat.
