The location was great- we could walk everywhere easily. Our 4 night stay there flew by. But best of all was Nelly who was so helpful. When the boat tour was sold out, she called a friend and found us a boat! She picked us up from the airport and, arranged for a specific taxi for us- someone she knew would be a perfect match to drive us into the highlands. She gave great restaurant recommendations and told us where the local celebration of Independence would be. Thank you so much for making our stay in San Cristobal amazing!

But best of all, the hostel hosts Trudy and Ivan were the most wonderful people and completely made our stay. Ivan has lived his whole life on San Cristobal and worked as a fisherman, and Trudy is descended from the first descendants of Floreana Island (also in the Galapagos). They are so kind and friendly, helped us with information and recommendations, and we so appreciated getting to learn about them and their story. It is a very nice hotel, just a 10-minute walk from the center and port and a 15-minute walk from the airport. The staff of the place are extremely friendly and ready to help you with everything. The breakfast is decent - a fruit salad, egg, bread, and juice, which changes daily. The Internet was okay compared to other experiences in the Galapagos. The room has an AC, which is a must when staying in the summer. Overall, it is a great value for the money.

Nice bathroom. Daily cleaning. Shared kitchen with all necessary amenities. But the cherry on top was Luisa, who made sure our stay was absolutely perfect. Borrowing us snorkeling gear for free and picking up the key we forgot to hand in at the airport. Really recommended!
