Perfect place to stay in San Cristobal. Run by a family, they were so helpful and kind. They even picked us up from the airport and arranged a taxi for our early ferry. The room was perfect, with a cute kitchen area and pool. Walk to town was easy - don’t let it put you off!

The breakfasts were delicious! The location was great- we could walk everywhere easily. Our 4 night stay there flew by. But best of all was Nelly who was so helpful. When the boat tour was sold out, she called a friend and found us a boat! She picked us up from the airport and, arranged for a specific taxi for us- someone she knew would be a perfect match to drive us into the highlands. She gave great restaurant recommendations and told us where the local celebration of Independence would be. Thank you so much for making our stay in San Cristobal amazing!

Very clean house with nice and helpful host. Good location, close to the centre and airport, in quiet area. They provided free transfer to the airport. We recommend it to anyone.

We had a room on the upper floor and there is a terrace in front of the room with hammocks and sofas and a beautiful view. The breakfast is also on this terrace and it is prepared by Ivan at the time you want. We loved that, because on 2 days we had to leave before 7 am to dive and breakfast was ready for us before 6:30. It is a simple but very tasty breakfast with fruit, eggs or omelet, fresh warm bread, jam, fresh juice. You can also use the fridge on the terrace to store drinks or other things you want. There is water for the guests to refill the water bottles and you can also make a tea anytime. Ivan even leaves a binoculars there, so you can spot the sea lions at the beach. He was a fisher and has so many stories to tell about San Cristobal. It is so nice to talk to him, it is like talking to someone from your family. His wife Trudy belongs to a pioneer family from Floreana island, so interesting, we found informations about her family at the museum at Charles Darwin station. The hostal is very close to the airport, 5-minute walking distance and is also very close to everything. In 3 minutes you are at the first beach and can see the first sea lions and blue-footed boobies. Our room was big, bed was comfortable and shower worked very good. Check in and check out was super smooth, we got our room as soon as we arrived. They also provide beach towels if you want. We loved San Cristobal, I think it was our favorite island, and we loved our stay at Hostal Cattleya. Thanks for everything, Ivan!

The location is a little far from the main port area, 37 min walk but a quick 5 min drive. The walk is safe and well-lit so I didn’t mind walking at all and the owner & his son pick you up from your ferry and drive you to your tours etc. for free. They are so nice and wonderful. The room is clean, good A/C, spacious, quiet, lovely overall. Free drinking water and they let you pick fruit from their property (the mangoes were not ripe when I was there but it is such a sweet gesture).

Located near the airport ,Hostal "La Posada de José Carlos is placed in a residential area of the island. Free Wifi access is available. Each air conditioning room has cable TV, refrigerator. Everything! Location, very close to the airport (convienient) but also close to the city center. Comfortable room with good bed and shower, minifridge and even an iron, - super useful when travelling with a backpack😃 breakfast was also nice, always fresh eggs in the morning and we could refill our water bottles anytime of the day. Jorge is one of the most helpful people we have met so far on the Galápagos Islands and we did the inland tour with him on San Cristobal which was nice. On the morning we had to leave to the ferry it was raining and he offered to give us a free ride to the harbour, which we appreciated a lot. Can definitely recommend this place!

Super clean and comfortable and so friendly! I was able to borrow a snorkel and do laundry too which was massively appreciated. It's a little walk from the main street and nice to be further away from the busy area. Also within easy walking distance of the airport. Overall, excellent value.

Very new built house, the cleanest hotel from that type which I experienced in whole central and Southamerica, very comfortable bed, the bath was also extremely clean, the towels were changed every second day. Good working aircon (which I barely needed in November). The shower hat a regulation for hot and cold water and had enough pressure. There was also a small flexible shower head, so if you want to rinse something or not to get your hair wet it’s very handy. Luisa was very friendly and helpful with everything I needed - great tips for activities, organizing a SIM card, helping with where to put the wet diving clothes to dry, laundry service. There was a very clean and good equipped kitchen although I didn’t cook, but just made salads twice. There is a bigger supermarket 10 steps away and one smaller directly next to it. The location is great - It’s very quiet, so you don’t need ear plugs to sleep, very near (8min walk) to the center with restaurants and the pier. I would recommend. Casa Puka to everyone without hesitation. It’s a great value for money and great experience. Thank you, Luisa!
