Such a great location overlooking the valley and seeing the mountain peaks. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bikes were free to use, easy ride into town. Cooking facilities were great they’ll also cook you food if you request breakfast/dinner. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the doggy. Highly recommend. Thanks so much for having me has been one of my favourite hostels so far.

Located half a block from Foch square and a 20-minute walk from Quito's historic centre, The Yellow House offers free Wi-Fi, continental breakfast and 24-hour front desk assistance. This property is run by the most lovely German mother and daughter duo. A huge bonus is that they speak fluent English, German, and Spanish. The rooms are big, airy, and clean. They also serve a breakfast with fresh juice, coffee, variety of fruits, bread, and eggs. This is an extremely safe location as it is literally a 1 min walk to the center of Plaza Foch. (This area is heavily patrolled by police so one of the few areas in Quito that is safe at night with tons of restaurants and bars around.) There is also a supermarket Maxi close by. Another bonus I found out through being here is that Gabi, the mother, also works as a tour operator so she can help with planning or recommendations of where to go since she has been living in Ecuador for over 10 years along with running this hotel. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Only 800 metres from Quito’s Cathedral, Colonial House Quito offers rooms with free Wi-Fi in a 200 years old colonial-style house. Common kitchen facilities are available, and there is a garden. Beautiful and peaceful place next to the center. Very clean. Comfortable bed, big kitchen with free tea and filtered water. Very good wi fi and big green garden. Super nice staff. Recomended 100%.

This is a good budget option in an otherwise pricier part of town, which was nice. The host was very nice and accommodating, there are some shops nearby for the basics, and La Carolina park and barrio are nearby. There’s a shared kitchen, which was convenient for preparing coffee and snacks. The room was small but had a little desk and was nice and clean.
