Our flight got delayed, and they were waiting for us at the pier to help us with our bags and find our way late at night. They answer all our questions about activities, prices, and directions. The people working in the hotel were really kind and friendly and helped me with everything. They helped me get a trip to Abu Simbel and even packaged me a breakfast for it, because the trip started so early. The room was very quiet, peaceful and clean.

It was the best guest house that we had during our holiday in Egypt! The room was very clean and comfortable (especially the bed !!), with AC and a fan and a small fridge. A nice bathroom with shampoo and hot water. The hosts are so nice and welcoming, it was a pleasure to share some moments in their home. They can cook for you and the food is delicious! They will help you however they can (they bought tickets for us for the lights and sounds show). You can easily walk to the temple from there. Thank you so much, hopefully we will be back one day!

We really enjoyed our stay at FADL KATO, with a beautiful location over looking the Nile, and a very accommodating host who helped us a lot by recommending restaurants and places to go to on the island and booked for us transportation to Abu Simbel and other trips. Would really recommend the place.

We are just staying for the night and have an early flight to catch and Abu was very helpful to us since he even let us use his boat since the public boat is still closed at 3am. If you are planning a trip to Aswan, Elephantine Island on the Nile , La Terrace Aswan is the guest house you NEED to stay at. The house is so lovely and spotlessly clean. The view of Aswan Corniche from the wonderful terrace are fabulous day and night. Now on to Mohammed, the proprietor. The nicest, kindest, most genuine man you’ll meet. He looked after us like we were family. We flew into Aswan from Cairo but when we arrived in Cairo our luggage wasn’t. We messaged Mohammed just to let him know what happened and even though at this stage we still hadn’t met he took ownership of the issue and just ran with it. He had a car meet us at the airport which took us straight to a pharmacy to buy toiletries before taking us to the guest house. The following morning after making sure we had some breakfast he guided us to a shopping centre where we could purchase replacement clothing. In addition to all this Mohammed looked after all our bookings for tours and trips. He well and truly saved our holiday. The beds in the room were so comfortable and it was so quiet and peaceful.
