Boasting a shared lounge and free WiFi, Antika Snoga is located in Avila, 200 metres from Avila Cathedral and 400 metres from Torreón de los Guzmanes. The hotel is located inside the imposing Avila Walls so that makes the experience special. It is less than 200m from one of the main gates next to which is the entrance to one of the three sections of the walls that are open to the public. It is also no more than 500m from the top attractions in Avila and about 1.6km from the Cuatro Postes Lookout for a panoramic view of the Avila Walls in their entirety. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, gelaterias and shops well within walking distance from the hotel. The room itself was very comfortable and the bathroom sink is huge which makes doing simply laundry a lot easier. There was also complimentary muffins and coffee for breakfast and that was appreciated.

My only complaint would be they set the bar too high! I stayed here on my second night of this trip and have been thinking of it every day since. The dinner was a spectacular bargain, 11 euro for a bottle of wine, appetizer (I think I had soup), main (there was a choice of beef cheek or pork cutlet with potatoes--to be honest I which I'd gotten the beef but the pork was also good, and dessert--i had basque cheesecake. Breakfast was also a great bargain with eggs, ham, bread, coffee and a piece of cake for 5 euro. The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice view and was a good temperature.

Hostal Plaza Mayor is located on El Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and features accommodation in Carrión de los Condes. The room was spacious, we had a cute little deck and the location was wonderful.

Featuring 1-star accommodation, Hostal Doña Juana is situated in Avila, less than 1 km from Avila City Hall and a 14-minute walk from Avila County Council. Everything. Clean in all areas, lovely staff, great location. The bottle of water and sweets are a nice touch in the room. Bathroom supplies with shampoo, shower gel and soap. Staff recommended where to eat. I left my overnight bag to collect after I checked out and they don’t charge for it.

Hostal Granada is located just 8 minutes’ walk from Salamanca’s Plaza Mayor, near the popular tapas bars of Van Dyck Street. It offers free Wi-Fi and air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms. Everything was just great! The young man who helped me to check in was so incredibly friendly and helpful! My room was so nice and the location was perfect!
