Situated in the countryside, this typical Cantabrian house is set in Herrán, 800 metres from Santillana del Mar historic town and within driving distance from Altamira Caves.

The house has a comfortable lounge and a dining room where breakfast is served. There is also a microwave, kettle and a fridge. And amazing stay. Very comfortable. Spacious room. Bed and pillows were great. Breakfast was delicious and the view was food for the soul. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Posada La Torre de La Quintana is housed in a listed historical building that breathes an air of nobility and aristocracy, surrounded by the beautiful lush Cantabrian countryside. It also offers apartments located 800 metres from the main building. Buildings were really old but extremely nicely renovated. Very nice atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We visted during low season and we were the only visitors having breakfast but the breakfast was perfect.

Santander Festival Palace is 34 km from the guest house, while El Sardinero Casino is 36 km from the property. Santander Airport is 30 km away. I stayed and ate at La Terrazza restaurant while walking the Camino del Norte in July 2025. Not only is the accommodation superb and right on the Camino, but the owner and staff were exceptionally hospitable and friendly. The entire establishment is beautiful. And the dinner I enjoyed there was the best I've had since starting the Camino more than two weeks ago. If you have the chance, make a stop here during your Camino or eat here if you're lucky enough to live in this area. I stayed and ate at La Terrazza restaurant while walking the Camino del Norte in July 2025. Not only is the accommodation superb and right on the Camino, but the owner and staff were exceptionally hospitable and friendly. The entire establishment is absolutely beautiful. And the dinner I had there was the best I've had since starting the Camino more than two weeks ago. If you have the chance, make this a stop on your Camino or have a meal here if you're lucky enough to live in this area.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 43 km from Santander Festival Palace. Sergio, our host, was superb. From sending a text to ensure a personal arrival, to wishing us farewell the next day. Sergio met us on arrival and carried my case up the amazing staircase after explaining things about the establishment and surrounding areas. Sent us local places to eat and drink by text. Our room was fabulous and super comfortable. Small details go a long way! Even the spare toilet paper 🧻 was made into a flower 🌼 Although we had a thunderstorm during the night and a road outside, we both slept through it! Breakfast was served in the garden..the sun was shining and a warm day. Edu was very attentive. The local area was beautiful to visit. We will return and stay again when we are back in the area for a longer holiday. Thank you again.

I only was there a brief time so can’t comment on breakfast.
