The location was really good considering that we rented a car and wanted to be off the main city. We could easily drive around to the waterfalls and Ranua zoo. The room was spacious and comfortable and we also enjoyed the sauna! The host is friendly and gave us good tips on what to visit in the area. It was also a great spot to catch the Northern Lights without having to travel anywhere else, but that was also a good dose of luck :)

The biggest advantage is the location, a few minutes from the main square, bus stops to the Santa Claus village and rauna zoo. Perfect place for a trip to Finnish Lapland at a good price and comfortable conditions.

I had a truly wonderful stay. The room was very clean and spacious — since it was an apartment-style accommodation, it felt almost too generous for just one person. It was incredibly comfortable and would be perfect for a longer stay as well. What stood out the most was the kindness of the host. Before arriving, I slipped on some icy snow and got a deep cut on my arm. The host kindly treated my injury, and I was genuinely touched by such thoughtfulness. I’ve never met a host as kind and caring as this. The location was excellent — just a 10-minute walk to the city center, yet the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, allowing me to rest well at night. There was no restaurant or breakfast service, but a supermarket was only five minutes away on foot, which made things very convenient. There’s also a McDonald's nearby — the famous one that used to be the northernmost one in the world, which was a fun little detail to discover. If I ever visit this city again, I’d definitely love to stay here once more. Highly recommended!
