We slept very well in the comfortable beds, and the breakfast was generous and good. The streets are narrow, but it was always easy to find a parking nearby.

The house is old and quaint but our room was comfortable and spacious with a good walk in shower. There does not seem to be a problem with parking right outside. We came by train. Take a #4 bus from the station and get off at St Martin, only 1.20 euro. Laon is well worth the visit with relatively few tourists. The cathedral is magnificent, must be one of the finest in France. Some good restaurants and if you want a lighter meal, try a platter from the Fromagerie des Remparts.
