I have stayed at dozen of hotels in scotland .This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever very cleaaaan specious with best interior and enchanting view ever. This was perfect property to spend precious time with love once with romantic view lush greenery river and much more, we made great memories walking through fields with boots( provided by the owner of property). Mr David’s was very hospitable supportive and corporative as we dont had our car he picked and drop us from train station soooo nice of him , he booked and arrange us restaurants, private guide (Mr James🤩) and he was there for every need of mine. + he is a bestttt chef 😉must try his scrambled egg 🥚 Definitely will come again n again 💪 I was lucky i got 2 nights atleast i wanted to stay more but as it was full till august, I regret why i booked only 2 nights😰

The views from the front rooms of the hotel are fantastic. The interior decoration and soft furnishings are very stylish and opulent. The beds are comfortable. The little extras ie local whiskey in a carafe, cake etc made our stay feel special. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again

We stayed at Kilmeny Country House for three days, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Blair and Margaret’s charming bed & breakfast is set in a peaceful, cozy location, conveniently close to Bowmore, making it an ideal base for exploring the island. Their directions to the property were clear, and it’s just as easy to find by simply entering the name into Google Maps. The house is immaculate, tastefully decorated, and exceptionally well maintained. Every detail is thoughtfully considered to ensure comfort, and the tranquil surroundings guarantee a restful night’s sleep. What truly sets Kilmeny apart is the warmth and hospitality of its hosts. Margaret welcomed us with genuine kindness and had arranged homemade cake and a dram of whisky for our arrival—a thoughtful gesture that made us feel instantly at home. Breakfast each morning was a delight: from the full Scottish breakfast and overnight oats prepared by Margaret, to Blair’s freshly brewed coffee and crisp toast. Margaret even remembered a passing mention of clotted cream and prepared it specially to accompany the scones—a gesture that spoke volumes about their care for guests. When I requested a firmer pillow, it was provided without hesitation. Every interaction reflected sincere warmth and attentiveness. The hosts struck the perfect balance—thoughtful, while never intrusive. Their hospitality made our stay not just comfortable, but truly memorable. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kilmeny, not only for its beautiful property and ideal location, but above all for the exceptional service. Thank you, Blair and Margaret, for making our stay so special. Your B&B will undoubtedly be my first choice when I return to Islay.
