This is a one of a kind luxurious, comfortable, pampered experience. Karen and David are the sweetest, kindest, most courteous people ever! Their years in the hospitality industry shine through but mostly their passion for providing a pampered Scottish experience reigns. The house is beautiful; the room is enormous with an even bigger bathroom with separate shower and tub. The room boasts extravagant furnishings and an even more extravagant view of the Scottish Border hills. We were greeted with cheerful, kind, words and gestures that are unmatched (and we have traveled extensively). Love this place and Moffat but especially Karen and David; they are true gems!

Ferintosh Guest House localiza-se em Dumfries, a 8 minutos a pé de Dumfries and County Golf Club e a 1,8 km de Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, e fornece acesso Wi-Fi gratuito. We arrived by train, and realized Ferintosh is directly across the road from the station, in a row of stately Victorian red sandstone elegant homes. Such a joy! Our host Robertson was waiting for us, answering the door and chatting amiably with us in the lovely entry hall. He carried our luggage up the stairs, and we settled in our cozy room. Town is an easy 10 minute walk, and has all the medieval- to- Victorian architectural charm we hoped for, plus two old bridges over the River Nith. Must not forget all the Robert Burns sites, the wonderful museum in a former windmill, junk shops, chip shops, stairs and river walk. Lovely town Breakfast is cooked and served by "himself" and is very good. Robertson has a generous supply of information and maps, plus dog treats and towels, and brownies to borrow. We sat in the front garden after a full day, drinking tea. Completely satisfying.

Christine was so helpful and willing to give us suggestions on our travel route as well as recommendations for a dinner venue.
