This 17th century, luxury, boutique hotel is the only 4-star hotel in the centre of Lancaster, and is superbly situated in the heart of the city centre.

The hotel was originally built in the 17th century and is the oldest bar/hotel still operating in Lancaster. With luxurious rooms and comfortable furnishings, the hotel is an ideal base for an upmarket stay in the city. I think that the pub and inn have lots of local charm. It is fun to stay around there. The bed was also extremely comfortable. I look forward to coming back in the future!

The location is BEAUTIFUL! Viv was AMAZING and so friendly. We ended up in a massive traffic jam due to an incident on the way to our location, and Viv was wonderful in allowing for a later check in due to our situation. The room was clean and well laid out, we had an ocean facing room on the top floor, with plenty of comfortable sleeping room. We did a little exploring the following day with recommendations from Viv before we continued on to Scotland. Breakfast was delicious and made to perfection, other guests were equally as cheerful with the location and accommodation, but Viv and her positive welcoming demeanour was by far the highlight of our experience. Highly recommend staying here if you're visiting the area, or travelling through.

Guests at the guest house can enjoy cycling and hiking nearby, or make the most of the garden. It was wonderful and I was very impressed. Although they said they didn't provide breakfast, they had food like the ones in the picture ready for us to use. The bathroom was clean and there were plenty of towels provided. The owner was also friendly and very kind. I'll definitely use them again next time.
