On our arrival, we were welcomed by the host and treated to a lovely pot of tea and apple cinnamon cake (delicious). She showed us to our room and areas in the house where we could relax. She also told us about Woods deli just around the corner, where we could have breakfast. Ideal location, just off the A40 as a stop off point when travelling down the country.

Set in a 17th-century former farmhouse just metres from the banks of the River Wye, Parva Guesthouse is less than a mile from historic Tintern Abbey. The house itself was lovely, comfortable and welcoming. Our room was exceptional, every detail well thought out! The main sitting room spacious. The restaurant area was welcome. Breakfast was lovely, portions excellent….their apricot/ prune fruit mixture yummy! Only wish the restaurant had been open that night. Another time I would ensure to be there to try their restaurant.

The host is so welcoming and friendly and the location is idyllic, even with a 5-10min walk through the orchard to the local pub.

Good breakfast options including pancakes with streaky bacon, full english, smoked salmon, advocado. Delicious fruit compote. Warn and generous couple who couldn't do enough to make our stay a happy one - they advised on local things to do and see which was very helpful.

Dating back to the 1600s, The Three Tuns is set overlooking Chepstow Castle. Wonderful place to stay, perfect!
