At the guest house, every unit has bed linen and towels. The host was so friendly and helpful with great tips. The room was incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable and had the best shower of all the many places we stayed in the Peloponesse. Truthfully the shower combined with the reasonable price, excellent location and gracious host is enough to recommend a stay in Olympia just for the welcome rest during busy travel (even if you aren't interested in the amazing sites!)

Occupying a traditional stone mansion with wonderful views of the surrounding area, Bacchus is a charming and luxurious pension 3 km from Ancient Olympia.

Bacchus is located in the picturesque village of Ancient Pissa. Its garden, large terraces and swimming pool area are ideal for relaxation and fun. A 10 is not enough to describe our experience in Bacchus. The inn has an amazing view (great sunset view too!) and a very cozy, rustic feel to it, aided by the basis on stone and wood. The room was spacious, spotless and fully outfitted with all the usual hotel equipment. All furniture and appliances were in great condition. The dining area is very pretty and the breakfast selection was varied and delicious all around. The restaurant has great food and reasonable prices. The pool is another highlight. It definitely is the cleanest one I've ever been to and is very beautifully decorated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, they made us feel right at home from the very first second. I'll also have to praise Bacchus for being careful about conserving water and energy (e.g. 2 modes for flushing water, A/C goes on standby when windows are open). All in all, if you are in the area, this is the place to stay, no questions asked. We are already planning our next visit!
