Set amidst lush greenery, at an altitude of 600 metres, the traditionally built Guesthouse Mazaraki is situated close to the picturesque village of Mystras, offering views of the Byzantine castle of... Everything was wonderful - welcoming staff, beautiful location, gorgeous room and delicious breakfast. It’s incredibly quiet and romantic, and luxurious without being fussy.

We stayed for one night (but I wish we’d stayed for two nights at least). Porto Kagio is a very small intimate charming little village stretched across the beach of a small cove. A wonderful getaway spot with stunning views on the approach. The owner Panayioti was kind and generous, offering to help with our bags then bringing us coffee on our patio. Our room was charming and well appointed, with a cupboard, a desk, a suitcase rack, and a little fridge. Clean with a comfortable bed. We had a patio with a sea view and we were a short stroll to the beach. Breakfast was served on the top floor patio although the owner offered to serve us on our patio. Breakfast itself was fine although myself I would have liked some fresh fruit too. We did an easy walk around to the point where there is a little church and a stunning view back to the cove. We ate fresh and perfectly cooked fish at Taverna Porto right on the beach. An enjoyable time altogether.

The hosts were wonderful. They served us a beautiful breakfast every morning. There is a famous bakery just opposite the hotel where you can buy the best bread in Greece:) The hotel is charming, with a beautiful yard. Centrally located. Petrounis recommended us a nice taverna at the other end of the main street where we spent every evening. There is a public car park very near the hotel which was very convenient, too. A very good place to visit Mani, explore the coast and swim with the turtles;)

Coralli Rooms & Restaurant is located on Elafonisos, just 500 metres from the ferry port connecting the island with the Peloponnese peninsula. Some units have views of the sea or garden. We absolutely LOVED our 3 night stay here. The rooms are lovely and beautifully clean. The beach is just opposite and is perfect for young children. The staff are a delight! The restaurant is also fab!! We hope to come back next year!
