Free cookies and water were a nice touch. Great starting point for a hiking trip in the area. Various Greek taverns and shops nearby. Lots of cats roaming the streets in the area (my girlfriend loves cats, so we had to stop every few meters so she could pet them...). Unfortunately, no real breakfast options nearby, but we found great ones in Kalambaka, around a 20 minute walk away.

Offering a children's playground and sun terrace, Chrysorama Rooms-Golden Vision is set in Kalabaka in the Thessalia Region, 1.4 km from Meteora. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. The breakfast was the best that I eated on the hotels that I sleeped in. All ingredients were special and based on the authentic greek cousine. This breakfast is essential if you wanna visit the Meteora Monasteries, it will help you on the hiking and the stairs of the Monasteries. And will help you to sustain until the amazing golden hour of the Sun!

This monastery-style guesthouse is just 200 metres from Kalampaka centre just behind the small picturesque train station. It offers rustic rooms with free Wi-Fi and panoramic views of Meteora. There are so many things to like about this place and I am excited to share. We are a family of five (mom, dad, three kids). First, we got the family room, street view, and we are so happy that it is spacious with a balcony. The vibe in Kalabaka is so chill and positive, this room is perfect. Bed, beddings, mattress (firm) are great. We also have a lot of luggages so this big room is perfect to organize everything. I was also able to have our clothes washed and dried via their laudry service which is reasonable at 25 euro. Our room is also quiet, you can sleep soundly at night. The neighborhood is peaceful. Second, the people. Oh they are so kind. The reception area representatives are smiling, gracious, polite. Like they really love what they are doing. They patiently explained to us the sites and monasteries to see around. Third, the breakfast. Oh how lovely. You have all the essentials. Healthy, comfortable. We love it. Fourth, the parking is spacious. We drove a van and there is good space for parking. Fifth and finally, the price is reasonable given the space and togetherness we enjoyed as a family. We are truly happy that we chose this place over the others that showed in the booking.com app. I based my decision on the area and the good reviews of the other travellers who tried this place. This amazing apartment was in good location with the amazing view on the sea. Nice and comfy terrace. The tavern has perfectly fresh food and the beautiful view.

I was traveling with a friend and we had a surprisingly quite room by the Port with very confortable verds. Giannis Is super kind and offered us help and information. He even spoke some Spanish with my friend. We felt very welcomed. Absolutely recommended!

Great location with only a short walk to the port but outside the over-crowded tourist areas. Clean room with friendly staff.
