This is the biggest surprise of my Indonesia trip! This place located in a small town near Malang. It runs by a family and Mrs. Mary took 2 of her independent rooms as hotel. There is super nice mountain view and the whole atmosphere is sooo chill. The room is quite big. The host even gave us some passion fruits and papaya grown from their farm. It is not far from Mt. Bromo and Tumpak Sewu - both takes 1.5h to drive there. There are hardly any tourists in this small town and when we were walking to a restaurant, the people were so curious and greeting us friendly, the kids on the street waved to us and say hello. It was such an amazing experience! The sunset of with rice field view in the small town is also really really beautiful. There is also a good and modern restaurant 20 min walk from our stay and it is designed to see the sunset with a big balcony, the food is very nice too

The place is located in a quiet and beautiful area, just couple of minutes walk from the temple. We intended to stay for only one day but ended up extending. The staff was wonderful and super helpful. We borrowed bicycles and went for a ride around the village and they helped us to arrange transport to the city and get to the station. They made everything easy and comfortable for us. The food was also amazing. The facilities are clean and beautiful exactly as on the pictures.

The room ms are very clean, the bathroom and toilet are also very clean. The surrounding environment is also comfortable and beautiful. The host is so kind, friendly, and we felt like family.

The guesthouse is built by a dutch couple who has lived in Indonesia for almost 20 years. They build this place step by step and maintain the condition of housing with considerable intention. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, with many details to discover, such as the old wooden furniture from East Timur and the garden panorama designed according to specific slope angle. The local host in charge is an Indonesian couple. They are super friendly and willing to share life stories with guests. Cats and dogs in the facility are well taken care of. It is highly recommended to read the booklet of the "History of Rumah Lereng Bandung" during the stay. In sum, this is one of the best place that I've ever stayed.

Very clean and homey at a good price! Lala and Rolly were very nice and accommodating to our needs, they even packed us breakfast on days we had early tours/ flights and gave us some bread in the afternoon when we missed breakfast for the day. ❤️
