The homestay is in the middle of Rice fields, so you get to hear frogs and geckos in the evening, which we loved. We didn't have any problem with bugs in the rooms given we were in the middle of fields. The bathroom was very clean as well as the room and nice and new bed sheets. The staff was attentive and welcoming. Lena, from reception, was extremely helpful during our stay. Always attentive to anything we needed and answering any questions. The breakfast was delicious and the amounts were generous. The first night we decided to have dinner there which was a traditional Indonesian dinner. Very good and fresh. All the meals are served on the lovely covered terrace. Lena coordinated a driver for us to explore other nearby areas, including our drive back to Yogyakarta after visiting Merapi Volcano. Our driver, Nur, was more of a tour guide. Extremely generous with his time, spoke English and drove us around many interesting places including picking fruit, Rambutan, from his family property. It was a true pleasure to share time with lovely people at a great place.

And we were shown stars, constellations and galaxies in the pictures Jack took. We didn't get the chance to view them through a telescope. So we will have to return!

Janur Bungalow offers an accommodation in Borobudur, set in a village surrounded by rice fields. It boasts an outdoor pool with overflow circulation system. The host picked us up from the airport. The plane was delayed and we arrived at the airport very late. We were very hungry. On the way back to the hotel, he took us to have a bowl of amazing chicken soup. The hotel is nice and beautiful, carefully decorated every corner, well consider and well equipped. The owner is very warm and welcoming. It is a beautiful hotel very close to Borobudur. I will recommend it to everyone.

Breakfast and Indonesian traditional dinner overlooking the rice fields were precious relaxing time. Especially the sunrise from Rumah Dharma was beautiful. I also appreciate the hospitality of the staff, thank you for the bicycle and breakfast box.

The host, Ominee, is really kind, friendly, helpful & generous. The bedroom is small but there are 2 communal rooms for relaxing & also a balcony.There is complimentary water, tea & coffee. The bathroom is small with no sink, but the shower is warm when you have the knack!! It is close to many sights in Dieng & convenient for food & hiking - we spent our time exploring on foot. Fantastic value for money & a great experience in Dieng.

The hostel ia very close to the temple entrance, the reception guy is very nice and can provide info, facilities are great too (wifi, lockers, curtains for the beds, cleanliness, air con). Also, free cold water and coffee in the morning. It's a pity very little people come to spend a night in Borobudur. It's a very cute town and you can have nice walks in the rice fields just behind the temple or going towards the Chicken Church.
