Beautiful location right on the river, surrounded by nature and beautiful views, a retreat from the busy-ness of town. It is only a short motorbike ride into town, and you can walk ~10 mins to get to an alfamart/indomaret. I did 2 days jungle trekking with Andi who was a great guide. We saw lots of orangutans and other wildlife, and he shared a lot of great information about the jungle. I went with a group and he was very attentive with the guests and everyone's different needs and comfort levels with the hiking. Dika, Dedek, and the rest of the family were so friendly and happy to answer any questions or help with anything, and make an amazing breakfast which is included. Andi arranged a car to and from the airport. Wifi was functional most of the time, which was helpful because I spent a lot of time working remotely in the restaurant. Bed in my room was very firm and comfortable, which is important to note because some different guesthouses where I've stayed have had very squishy, sinking beds. Bathroom has good showerhead water pressure, a western style toilet, and bidet. They provide toilet paper if needed. Towels also provided. Screens on windows prevent mosquitos from getting inside, and there is a fan inside the room for when it gets hot. Overall, a beautiful place to stay and a family business that makes you feel like family. Highly recommend!

I just got back from a 2 night , 3 day trip that I booked with Jhony. I found the trip to be a fantastic experience! We were lucky enough to see 14 Orangutans in the wild , including a large male and a couple of mothers with their babies. Also various other big troops of monkeys, monitor lizards and many varieties of birds. I have not seen so much wildlife in one place during many previous treks over the world 😍 Jhony is a great guide and is very passionate about the conservation of the jungle.His assistant, the young Lana also really looked after us and will make a great guide in the future, for sure. We were provided with all the food we could eat which was local and delicious, and to stay in the jungle at two different camps with all of the wildlife surrounding was an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended

A equipe da pousada é excelente, fizemos o tour de 3 dias e 2 noites com eles, e tivemos os melhores guias, Iwan e Rahmat. Uma das melhores experiências que tive, recomendo totalmente, e ideal estar na pousada principalmente o dia anterior ao início da trilha. O wifi funciona muito bem.

Thank you 😊 Their jungle trekking also was high-quality in service, attention and entertainment. I stayed several weeks instead of a few days, def would like to come back.

SeaGate Bungalows apresenta um jardim, área de praia privada, um terraço e restaurante em Sabang. Banhos termais e um serviço de aluguer de carros estão disponíveis. Don’t miss out on this gem. The best place we stayed in Indonesia. The bungalow is very romantic. Located directly by the sea, nice and comfortable bed (with a good mosquito net which is not on the pictures), tank with drinkwater and really nice bathroom with warm water and a proper shower. A few meters away from the bungalow, there is a private beach where you can snorkle (gear is available at the bungalow). Amazing reefs and fishes only 3 meters from the shore. The bungalow is also located centrally in between Iboih and Gapang beach on the one side, and Sabang city on the other. Both can be easily reached by scooter which you can rent from the hosts (it’s the best scooter we had in Indonesia so far)! Besides the bungalow we have to mention Borja and Yuyun, the hosts. They were by far the best, sweetest, most helpful and most welcoming persons we have met during our travels. They invited us for dinner in Sabang city, helped arranging transportation (not only on the island, but could also help with transportation in other places in Indonesia), and lots of other things. Yuyun even joined us to the phone shop in Sabang city to buy a new Indonesian simcard (since the initial one we bought in Bali didn’t work). We would recommend everybody to pay a visit to Pulau Weh. The people are the nicest people ever, the “island vibe” is unbeatable and diving here is amazing. Moreover, we would recommend everybody to stay at Seagate. You will never forget the experience! We hope to be back here one day! Thanks a lot Borja and Yuyun!
