The accommodation is basic but perfect for a quick rest before or after the jungle trek. The jungle trek itself was a great adventure - we were lucky enough to spot lots of orang utans and a bunch of other wildlife, and had a great time with our 2 guides (special thanks for their Indonesian lessons!). Big shout out also to the chef, we were so well-fed with the most delicious food every evening!

Came to jhony’s for two days trekking tour through the jungle and was an incredible experience, from the start seeing orangutans and many monkeys around , the five start hotel in the jungle for the first night was special and the next day rafting to coming back to our a accomodation in Bukit lawang was the perfect close . My days at the Jungle Life Guesthouse were great. The room was really nice, the location perfect and the owners were really kind and helpful. I did the jungle trekking with them and Dandy, my guide, made it an amazing experience, he was so kind and funny and really compromised to make the best time out of it. We also enjoyed really fun nights playing guitar and singing with the guides and local people. If I ever come back, for sure I will book this place again. Thank you so much!

Borja and Yuyun are excellent hosts that offers you the warmest welcome that you can imagine. They are very kind and help you with any and every question you might have about the place and the island. Every single item in the rooms were well thought. Room was very clean. Having a mini fridge, boiler in the room was great to have. Location is fantastic as it's a bit remote in the island which offers you a calm place to relax. Having the ocean right beneath you is remarkable. Food in the restaurant which is running as a side business, "La Boca Chica", was a great surprise for us as it really exceeded our expectations for taste and variety. We were not comfortable to ride scooter and Borja was kind enough to give us a practice session which shows how far they are willing to go for helping their guests!

We stayed for 4 nights in the really great Sahnan Guesthouse run by Andri and his family. The rooms are functionally furnished and offer everything you need. However, you shouldn't expect European luxury. It was a perfect 4 days for us. The tours to the bat cave and the 2-day jungle trek were great adventures and are highly recommended if you have enough courage and a very good basic level of fitness. Andri and his family made our stay particularly enjoyable. The food was always excellent and the always open, friendly and supportive nature of all the hosts made us feel almost at home. Andri speaks very good English so that the organisation of all tours and transport was very easy. We would recommend the Sahnan Guesthouse to anyone and would love to come back when we are in Sumatra.

We did the 2-day, 1-night hike and it was an amazing experience. Our guide was excellent – knowledgeable, friendly, and very informative. The staff were all so kind, helpful, and great company throughout our stay. I can highly recommend this place to anyone.
