I had a working shower with hot water, as well as both a fan and AC. The guesthouse also offers a fantastic view over Hampi. You can watch all the people on their way to the temple and are right there whenever something exciting happens. I was also able to have my laundry done, which was very practical for me as a solo traveler. The host family and all the staff members were always very friendly and professional. I felt very well taken care of and would absolutely come back anytime. I would also like to highly recommend Jilan as an excellent tour guide. He gives you plenty of time and allows you to fully enjoy the surroundings of Hampi. If you have the capacity and the extra budget, I can absolutely recommend booking a tour with him. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house has family rooms. We liked everything about this welcoming homestay - our home for 6 nights. Situated a couple of minutes walk via a quiet village road to the lovely beach. Freshly made food was delicious. Warm and attentive Aparna (the host) made us immediately feel at home. We just left and are already dreaming of coming back.

At the guest house, units are fitted with bed linen and towels. This was the best homestay we have ever stayed at. All the facilities are nice, well maintained and clean. The house is very nice as well, it has a lovely garden and the room we stayed in had a small balcony with chairs (perfect for a relaxing afternoon). Johnson made us feel right at home, and helped us arrange our backwaters tour. We did the village canoe tour and it was a really amazing and unique experience. The Homestay was a very family friendly environment, with lots of chances to socialise. Would highly recommend Johnson’s Homestay as a place to stay while you are visiting Alleppey!
