You definitely need to arrange some mode of transport to get around, though it’s a 15 min walk to the Auroville road, where you can find all the shops/ cafes.

The location is also perfect — really close to some of the best restaurants(Da Mantra) in Tiruvannamalai and just a 20-minute walk to Ramana Ashram.
