We didn't use the shared living room and kitchen but they seemed tò be very comfortable. You Need tò leave the shoes at the guesthouse entrance (Icelandic habit) so Better have comfy shoes tò put on/off. breakfast was Amazing. Both restaurants and rooms are very very hot (we were here in August) so better dress in layers.

Everything is beyong my expectation when looking for an accommodation nearby the canyon. We love the decor and warmth of this place.

Kitchen to room, everything was designed thoughtfully from a barn to a homestay and well equipped. Jfyi, the shower is common - but very big, spacious and clean. Hence it would not be an issue. If weather is nice and you are lucky, you may get to see some auroras too like us 😊

We stayed in the apartment and it was lovely and well-appointed. The little patio area in front was so nice since we were blessed with a beautiful day. Sitting outside with a coffee and watching and listening to the birds in the meadow right outside was delightful. We had been in Bakkagerdi earlier in the evening to view the puffins (1 million stars/10 on that experience) and this was the perfect place to spend the night, since it was less than an hour from there but also gave us a little bit of a head start on our clockwise ring road journey for the next day's travels.

Set in a characteristic wooden house, Við Lónið Guesthouse is an accommodation in Seyðisfjörður. Rooms feature Scandinavian minimalist design, original wood furnishings and uninterrupted views of the fjord and town. This guesthouse was my best stay during the trip. Amazing location, view, amenities and layout. It was a beautiful room. It was better than the fancier/pricier hotels that I stayed in.

If it wasn't, then they do a great job keeping the rooms pristine! The beds and pillows were comfortable, the bathroom was big and clean, and the kitchen had enough utensils for anything we needed to prepare. Overall, one of the best stays we had in Iceland.
